NSX/J-Motor Oil Pan Baffle Plate // For Weld Application

The NSX J motor has been know to oil starve in extended hard cornering. A simple solution to help control the oil in the OEM wet sump oil pan is to install a baffle to prevent sloshing of oil away from the pick-up located in the bottom of the pan.

The Cedar Ridge Fabrication oil pan baffle is a unique and improved design compared to the other products. The baffle features a location below the full, motor off level so the volume under the pan is reduced making it more effective keeping oil close to the pick-up when the motor is running and more oil is in the heads of the J motor. The baffle also features smaller, slotted drain back ports distributed around the outside edges of the plate for effective oil drain back in any dynamic situation.

The baffle plate can be welded into your OEM oil pan, 51mm(2") above the bottom of the pan. We TIG weld the baffle plate into the pan in our shop. This part will fit many 3.0, 3.2 and 3.5L Honda/Acura J motors with OEM oil pans. One may need to make small modifications for final fit up.
